Taking feet measurements is very simple.
All you need is a couple of blank A4 paper pages,
a pencil, and a measuring tape.
Ask a friend to help you out. You are now ready to get started.
Standing up, ask someone to draw the coutour of your foot with a pencil. Avoid bulky pencils as it would add unecessary space to the outline. Please note that the pen need to be held VERTICALLY at all time. Now repeat the same for the other foot.
With a measuring tape, circle the ball girth at the widest point. This measure is normally between 9 & 12 inches. On the outline you previously drew, indicate with arrows the position of the measure tape and report the measurment taken for the ball girth. This value should range from 3.5 & 5 inches.
Put the measuring tape around the foot, at the top of the arch. Mark the position with 2 arrows on the outline and indicate the value taken (the value should range from 9 to 12 inches and be almost similar to the ball girth +/- 0.5 inches). Do the same for the other foot.
Step 1 - Draw the outline of each of your feet. Step 2 - For both feet, take the ball girth measurement and report the value taken on the outline. Mark the position with 2 arrows. Step 3 - For both feet, take the instep measurement and report the value taken on the outline. Mark the position with 2 arrows. Step 4 - On the drawings, measure the length of each foot at the widest extremities. Indicate the values on the sketches with 2 arrows.
Now, you should have 2 sketches looking like this one.
